Wow... I'm referenced on the Radio-Info boards. I'm famous!! ;D
Long time lurker, first time poster.
To Ben: Thanks for the props bro, I appreciate it. Hope all is well with you.
BIG APE: Ben didn't have me voice sweepers for his DJ gigs. It was for some website stuff of his: flash animation, videos, demos, etc... He made me sound good!! And that's hard to do.
And to Berlin201 (and everybody else that wondered): Yes, Ben is right, I produced the Kiss Stunt. I created it for the WFMX/WMKS flip... a crap load of songs (all with Kiss references in it) and it came out to about 18 minutes long. In the beginning there was a quick whisper with the legal ID. I re-used it for the Kiss/Raleigh launch with only the legal changed. Chris Shebel used it as a small part of a bigger tease. I don't know where he got all the extra stuff that was in that launch. Only that mine was a small part of the bigger piece. I think that was rotating every hour or so. Not sure.
Anyway... this audio piece used on FMX/MKS and RSN/KSL actually had nothing to do with the launch of The Beat in Charlotte. Although I was involved in that flip too! I actually put together a couple of little "construction sound" montages with the lovely and talented Kelly Kelly Kelly as the voice. I played with her voice and my voice to where there were little Kiss whispers to poke at the guys over at Kiss 95.1. And between those... it was just us picking random songs (country, spanish, hip-hop, alternative, etc) with "Beat" and "Kiss" references - and some songs we just wanted to hear - and throwing them into Prophet between the construction sounds. The random songs were meant to keep people guessing. Maybe it worked?
Oh yeah... I am not related to Henry or Dave.
Cheers!... cr
