Keep in mind that iHeartMedia will not begin operating the stations they're acquiring from Entercom until they place 102.9 and 104.9 in the trust.
That's a given.

Also, is there a similar announcement running on 104.9 KTDD? (Can't hear it where I live.)
Good question.
1. They could just shut it off (not likely)
2. Simulcast another station (temporarily)
3. There's already an LMA with another broadcaster
Maybe too obvious, but they did get the KFNY call. iHeart has an all-comedy format they could plug in as a placeholder.
There's no reason for iHeartMedia to shut off the station if they're going to sell it. However, it's possible that they worked out an LMA with another broadcaster.

So KUBE is now going to Power's HD2 on Monday.
KUBE 93 HD2?
re: speculation about comedy placeholder on 102.9:
Fair enough, Mike. Guess I get the Clueless award. Busy enough with my Internet radio station that I never noticed the deletion of that format. And most people didn't notice its existence.
