Pamplin Files for 740 Redmond WA CP

Now 1250/1460 is interesting given the weird, long, shared history. By the way the transmitter building there apparently was the studios when one of those 2 stations was urban KYAC in the 70s.

Are they being evicted?

Both have virtually no audience. Again I refer to how RIDICULOUS it is for Pamplin to build another station when they could buy KVI, KIXI, KKNW, KKDZ, etc., and the owners would probably gleefully sell any of those choices for some cash!

Ooopps my wrong those are 295.6 foot towers Pamplin wants to build. So they may be noticeable from the river as you float by.

Taxable Land Value for that Kirkland (1250 & 1460) site is $1,529,400.00 (yes 1.5 million). They value the towers and building at $21,100.00. I guess that tells you what is worth more. Not evicted yet but I would be worried if I were 1460 and a sign went up about a 36 unit housing project and the only open land in the neighbor hood is the piece I'm renting for my transmitter site. Looks like the LLP group that was Holding the property in Kirkland is doing some restructuring as Kirland Tower Properties, Inc. If you owned that piece of property what would you do? Kinda off topic but if Bob and Harold get along it would be an option. Question is could 1460 do anything with those 7 towers

The land that Pamplin wants to build on is a 76 acre plot of which they will be using about a less than a third of. Value for the whole 76 acre piece is $181,00.00 with a house on it worth $118,00.00. It looks like from the county info the house on the property has been raised at least 4 feet, must be in a flood plain. Looks like all the house in the area have been raised.

Pamplin has a ton of money and an ego to match. That's why he operates a radio station (KPAM) and a weekly newspaper (The Portland Tribune) that no one pays attention to.
