Two more out today at KRWM. Daryl Summers and Will Johnson let go.
Can't believe it about Daryl and Will....adding that to Tom and Laura Dane. This sounds like a format flip.

While Johnson and Summers are out, looks like longtime KUBE middayer Shellie Hart is taking over the 9 to 2 slot starting Monday.

Great for Shellie! She is a true Seattle talent. With Shellier on board WARM is definitely shifting younger. My only question is if they go younger dont they hurt their own HOT/AC KLCK? Must mean that station is going another direction or maybe both are? Big shakeup at Sandusky. Got to feel bad for the WARM staff since all got fired from the PD to every single airshift. That hasn't happened since KMPS blew up their station a year ago, but it didn't all happen within two weeks. Ichabod went first, then the PD and then the rest of the staff over time. Guess that last time a complete staff was fired, including PD was with Smooth Jazz?
I wonder if the OLD SCHOOL lunch will return? Maybe she could do it on sister station MOVIN.

Just listening to 106.9 right now, sounds like Carey Edwards currently handling the microphone for this 2 to 7 shift. Edwards was PD at KLTH-Portland (an oldies station), and did afternoon drive there. Just filling in, or a new hire?

Tom you had a great run on Warm and did a great job. Mark's a good guy, i'm a little suprised he's going to do mornings? To be honest, this whole thing suprises me. Could you see this coming?
PS. Don't take the negative post to heart. Most of the guys on this site were not your target audience and really don't know the first thing about being an air-talent. All most of them know is that they want oldies, deep cuts with Casey Kasem at the helm playing Kokomo and no commercial interuptions.

It surprised me. Tom was at KRWM for a very long time.
You don't have such longevity being a Spokane rate talent.
And after 15 years on KRWM, Tom was practically a fixture, But it seems like they're changing everybody around. New PD, new airstaff, more "Kokomo", it's kind of crazy really since they're a top station. Will Johnson and Daryl Summers are also gone. Enter Shellie Hart come Monday.

Tom, you're a great jock. Don't listen to the board op (likely) that posted that. your longevity and that of Daryl and Will made KRWM the top station in the market for many years in diary and PPM. You have nothing to be but proud.
Tom. You were the perfect talent for KRWM and have a track record of success that demands respect. Ignore posts on this board. You don't know me, but I can assure you there is a great deal of shock in the panic at WARM. The station was and has been a top performer 6+ and in female demos. You have great respect in this market and should not even think of getting out of the business. It hurts, but letting it hurt only gives creedence to posts that mean nothing. Post here rip apart successful talent like Rivers, Ichabod, Kent and Alan, Fitz, and you. You are in pretty damn good company. What matters is your track record of success, what you think of your abilities and what people you respect think of your abilities. I can assure you that your track record and the people you respect support your talent and success. The quirk in radio is the being fired is really no reflection on you as a person, nine times out of ten it is due to factors that you do not control. Best to you.
Tom. Consider talking to KCMS. With WARM committing AC suicide the typical winner is the Christian AC station in a market. You would be the perfect fit along with the entire crew laid off. Clearly it would have to be a faith fit too, but it if so it would be a wise move on the part of KCMS. KCMS will skyrocket with WARM's more current music approach in recent weeks and the air-staff changes. Happens in every market where an AC makes this kind of change.
KCMS and Tom. Perfect fit. End of story.

Wow all the speculation and hear say is comical....Tom and the rest of the staff there did a great job but their time has run its course. Who was the Fisher person that was rumored to do mid days a few posts back...yeah anyways we all saw how right on that one was. Look most people who post here don't know and those that do know generally don't post because they have class. Anybody on air full time in this market I have respect for and those who would put others down are bitter. Kudos Tom on such a great run at Warm.. Warm flipping format...Sure, my money is on comtemporary urban smooth polka disco and folk rock....Winner!
