Re: Thank you Cabradio- For?

Very scary! You are really quite amusing, but unlike what you seem to think you are not the joker but the joke itself. This is the neo-classic intarweb forum progression to the finest detail!

1. Poster axe_to_grind starts a topic with inflammatory material
2. People argue.
3. Religion and/or politics are brought into the matter sooner rather than later.
4. Said post goes on for many pages and culminates in kindergarten level name-calling.
5. Moderators intervene and scold all offending parties.
6. Arguing and name-calling continue.
7. Moderator locks thread and tells all involved to move on.
8. axe_to_grind starts the same thread not-so-cunningly disguised a new topic.
9. Repeat steps 2-6.
10. Moderator deletes thread and threatens to ban axe_to_grind.
11. axe_to_grind calls NAZI on the moderator in a new thread that shifts vitriol to the board operation and/or moderator.
12. Moderator finally gets bitter enough and actually follows through with the ban.
13. waxing_the_axx01 registers his username less than 3 hours after axe_to_grind has been banned.
14. Repeat 1-13 ad naseum.
15. Legal action is threatened by ip_troll_792 against the moderator and operators of the board.
16. Nothing happens to anybody.

I have seen this sorry bravado probably 15 times across the few message boards that I frequent in the past few years. Get a grip! Irresponsible? Sue? Trial? LOLLLLLZORZ to quote the 133t hAxOrZ. There hasn't been anyone successfully sued over what some dork posts on a message board yet, and there won't be!

Re: Thank you Cabradio- For?

First: There was no irresponsible accusation.

Second: As an Attorney, why not contact me off line and discuss this, You are only opening yourself up to being a part of what may become such a bitter legal battle between parklane and myself. There is no doubt the Judge will want to hear expert testimony...you are a legal expert, right? So...in order to protect you and keep you out of what will undoubtedly become a long legal battle, let's move this off-line. I'm sure your time is more valuable than to have to go to court to testify on anyone's behalf, right? Just email me, I could use more of your advice and maybe you can help keep me out of trouble.

Third: Funny how you don't talk (write) like lawyer. A friend of mine is a prominant one here in CT (read: I'm really not worried about a lawyer contacting me to discuss any issue). But, he uses different language, more eloquent I guess. Maybe it's just me... I'm sorry DeSoto, what was wrong with my spelling again? I don't want to irriate you with poor spelling. So anyway, can you endulge us...just what cases have you worked on? What recent decisions have impacted your practice? No, really...please answer my question. It will give me and everyone here a better understanding of a lawyers point of view (since none of us have passed the bar like you have. My mom wanted me to be a lawyer...something about being good at debates...well, I didn't...any advice on what I can do now?). I'm sure a quick Google search would bring up plenty of cases. Heck, I'll ask my lawyer friend about one you should be able to comment on. That should get the ball rolling. I'll allow a few off-topic comments. You are new, and we'd like to get to know you better. Class, say hi to DeSoto, he's a lawyer from Boston Legal. He works with Denny Crane! Must be a big firm.

Fourth: Yes, I can see your IP address.<P ID="signature">______________
