I recall Paul at WPTS and also WMJW. He was a good air talent and it's a shame e he never got far in the "biz." Some people got him mixed up with Dick Grimes. I do not think they were related. Dick Grimes worked at WGBI, WICK and later WKBW in Buffalo, WIBG in Philly and KQV Pittsburgh. Last time I heard he had worked for Mayor Rizzo in Philly and was later doing magic shows. Paul I had lost track of years ago. I also would like to know the cause of death.

Paul David Grimes, 61, of Lake Silkworth was called home to his Lord on Thursday, May 14, 2009, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township, after fighting a courageous battle with a lengthy illness.
He was born in Kingston on June 5, 1947, and was the son of Mildred Harrison Grimes of Wilkes-Barre and the late Joseph Grimes.
He graduated from Meyers High School in 1965.
Following his dream of becoming a disc jockey, Paul worked throughout the valley at various radio stations beginning in the early 1960s and was known as "The Fat Cat of Record Land" which he was tagged in his early days at WPTS Radio. He also spent time at radio stations WBAX, WMJW, WBRX and Magic 93 to name a few. His radio days lasted until just last year when he and his wife, the former Diane Patrick, co-hosted/ volunteered a weekly live call-in radio show called "The Pet Show" at LCCC.
Caring very much for the environment, he had taken on the position of zoning officer for various municipalities throughout the area in the mid- to late '90s and served as a volunteer deputy waterways conservation officer with the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission for almost 14 years.
Paul was an avid golfer and was a member of the PGA.
He proudly served his country as a major in the Marine Corps.
He was a 32nd degree F&AM Keystone Consistory and was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 5-15.
Surviving, in addition to his mother and his wife of 37 years, are a brother, Thomas; and nieces, nephews and numerous cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 11 a.m. from the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lake Silkworth, with the Rev. Joseph Pisaneschi officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas.
Friends and family may call at the church from 10:15 a.m. to the time of the Mass at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to his wife to help with past medical and final expenses.
His wife and mother extend a heartfelt "thank you" to the Hampton House staff, nurses and aides who helped keep Paul as comfortable and pain-free as possible with a true compassion for his quality of life during his final days.
