People frequently mentioned but never seen

Or how about someone who was heard frequently but never seen, such as the PA announcer on M*A*S*H? The voice was totally unfamiliar. Who was that guy?

See previous post.

"Mork & Mindy": Orson, Mork's contact on Ork. You heard
him (voice of Ralph James, although some people think it
was Orson Welles because of the similarity in voices) but
never saw him

On the Smothers Brothers' 1965-66 sitcom, where Tommy
played himself as an angel returned to Earth, every episode
opened with him getting his assignment for the week from
Ralph, his heavenly contact. Ralph was neither seen nor heard.

On the NBC sitcom "Just Shoot Me," did we ever see Jack Gallo's second wife? She was often referred to and I believe she was the same age as Jack's daughter Maya, but I don't think she was seen. Also on "Just Shoot Me," Nina would talk about her friend Biddy or Bitty but I don't think we saw her either.

What about their mother, on their later variety show? "Mom always liked you best!" :D

OK, so no one really knows. It's a mystery that may never be solved.

Jamie Farr (Klinger) in the pilot. Sal Viscuso after that.
David Arkin (SSgt Vollmer) in the film.

Not only was the Secretary on "Mission: Impossible" never
shown, neither was the face behind the voice on the tape
(Bob Johnson was the voice). Also, the Control Voice on
"The Outer Limits" (the late, great Vic Perrin) was heard but
his face was never shown, unlike Rod Serling.

The PA announcer was also Todd Susman at times. I had that two pages back but apparently even after posting a link back to it Tantric38 ignored it. ::)

My point is that we never saw the guy. And if you even know who Sal Viscuso is, you may be watching a little too much TV. Sorry I brought it up.

Mama's Family..Iola's parents were mentioned a LOT on that show..but they were never seen.

And of course, Carl Harper--but by the time of the show he had already passed away.

Funny..I was going to mention that one but I seem to remember at least one "flashback" episode where Ken Berry had played the role of Carl Harper for a few minutes but I am not sure sure if this was during the NBC or syndicated years. Need to go into the closet and find those Mama dvds. :D
