Phil Hendrie out at KTAR?
Sarcasm is key to working in radio and even more so when discussing the business. *grin*
I've been in radio for over 20 years. Sarcasm can be a useful tool, but it is not the first one I choose.

We've definitely been out in the hot AZ sun too long, as Nurse Czarina Jeff and I think it was about time the Master Blogger gave Hendrie the heave-Valley-Ho at 92~Three. The man who interviews himself was always an awkward fit for KT'R... especially now that they lean even more to the right. No doubt Hendrie is talented, but he's never been able to get any traction on either KFWhyEye, X-TRA 9~Ten or KT'R. Dave Ramsey is a much better fit and he's on FOX - the gospel for conservative talkers. A "better late than never" tip of the fez to the Master Blogger!

Now, let the bashing of the Buckeye Boyz begins...................

J.D. Hayworth, Michael Savage, Mac and freakin Gaydos. The stuff that does seem to get "traction" on those station clearly proves what a horseshit radio town Phoenix has become.

To add to the KT'R programming decision-bashing (aka diss the Master Blogger),
the Ramster is live 2-5 PM ET, so he's an even bigger rain delay (11/10 hours)
than the Beckster (6/5 hours).

Closed circuit for Legend's hillbilly demo: do not attempt to call during the show!

I was one of Phil Hendrie's biggest fans, but when he went "serious" to the point of yelling at listeners, dumping them, making fun of them his show got to be HORRIBLE. I wonder if his shift back to a more entertainment orientation with the cast of characters he became so famous for was the result of him losing affiliates.

How many stations has Hilbilly Ramsey been on? At one time he was on 1310 and 960 at the same time, and I'm sure that 1100 had him for a bit.

He is a proven loser, a show aimed at the high spending trailer park denizens with 6th grade educations! Yeah, that is who I want listening to my station!

Granted Hendrie was far below the top of his game, but his show is entertaining and still funny.

Dave Ramsey is funny too but more of an Ewww! funny, like cousin Caleb with the extra ear.

Bankrupt Hillbilly Radio, gee, we are so blessed here in Phoenix to have this dreck that is essentially an infomercial for Cleetus and Lulubelle to buy the cassettes and 8 tracks that Ramsey is flogging.

The good news is that you can stream the show live from many stations online (like WWRL, KCMD, AOL Radio, and many more), or you could get a backstage pass and not only watch the show live on video but get on-demand access to past shows for download, at philhendrieshow.com

I'm sure the show will be back on in Phoenix some time in the near future.

I actually enjoy the ramsey show but wish it was carried live or semi live. Since it airs 2-5 est, wouldn't be bad for a midday or late morning fix.

5-7 az morning news
7-10 glenn beck
10-1 dave ramsey
1-4 anarklo
4-6 az pm news
6-9 crummey
9-12 gaydos

Since it airs 2-5 est...

10-1 dave ramsey

As the show comes down 11-2 (summer) and noon-3 (winter), this would
result in one or two of the hours being a day behind.

I like reading stuff on this board.

Hendrie announces he's returning to his original format, the best on radio, and KTAR replaces him with Dave Ramsey. What brilliant timing! And how sad for us in the Valley.

"Syndicated Talk host Phil Hendrie announces his cast of fictional characters will return to the Phil Hendrie Show, after doing two years of "straight talk." "Radio needs alternative programming, like my show, now more than ever," said
Hendrie. "Having the advantage of communicating compelling and outrageous points of view through these characters is an opportunity no other host has."

Damn! That didn't work...

Nurse Czarina Jeff: me too.

I went and looked at internet radios last night, anyone got any recommendations? RCA has one for $100, Aluratek for 129, Sony for 170, and logitek 299, Sangean for 249.

Russ, you blew it, good luck the hillbilly finance show (wasn't Ramsey also on KFNN as well?)
