I have some old equipment, but have to look - it's been awhile. 500's are single line with rotary dial. 1500's and 2500's are single line touch tone. 565, 1565, 2565 and numbers like that are 5 line.Looking for a Western Electric 500-style phone with an EXCLUSION KEY.....they were used to interface broadcast equipment with telco lines.
i have the voice coupler -- but need the phone.....TIA!
I will see what I have.A dial phone would work for me....but a touch-tone unit would be better...
Any help is greatly appreciated!!!
What are you trying to do, there are tons of options that Western Electric offered with the 500 dial and 2500 TouchTone sets that can simply be done with a toggle switch?Looking for a Western Electric 500-style phone with an EXCLUSION KEY.....they were used to interface broadcast equipment with telco lines.

Mmmmm I seem to recall 97.5 KAYD had an 8000 in the rack long before 106.1 came along...I was DJ at KAYC/KAYD in 77-79...
Yes....I have a voice coupler that connects in-line with the phone....once the phone is active, the exclusion key keeps the phone from "hanging up" and -- in the case of a remote broadcast -- taking you off the air!!What are you trying to do, there are tons of options that Western Electric offered with the 500 dial and 2500 TouchTone sets that can simply be done with a toggle switch?
The actual use of a WE exclusion key was so the set could be used to make or receive a call bridge it with another device and hang up the hook switch without disconnecting the connected device from the line.
Are you trying to do that or something else?
