Pirates on 87.9 and 91.9

I must defend Dj here the man provides a very great service to the internet listeners of the world his station has some really enjoyable programs on it so here is to you Dj keep the great work up and entertaining the fans of programs everywhere. Happy holidays Mikey

Look a little closer... DToTheJ doesn't run an AM radio station, he runs an Internet station. And a damn good one at that, I might add. As painful as it may be to say this, radiofan2007 has a point ;D
 
The Pirates used to be on 1020. Now they are on 104.7. ::)
 
Josh C I just was supporting a man who helped my show be heard in many different forms and looking back i did not see how much he helped me back then he really is a good hearted guy entertaining the world via internet.
 
I don't think Josh was knocking him.. He was just saying he's not on AM, He is on Internet radio.. Nothing wrong with internet radio. The Pulse on 87.7! LOL!! WOW!! Good for them if they bring back The Star and Buc Wild show in the morning!! "Put the nail in the coffin" as Star would say, on Hot 97 and Power 105.1... Miss Jones on Hot 97 is SOOOOO Wack!!! Their Jokes make me want to vomit how corny they are! Ed Lover on Power 105.1, good dude but he don't stand a chance! LMAO! Smart man Star!.... Star's Morning show is going to make all those sponsors pull out on the big giants!! Good for those radio stations who's Program Directors are into politics and don't give the real talent the time of day! They are the reason why I put together a pirate radio station back in 1994 and 1995. At that time Hot 97 was the only Hip Hop station in NYC and they were the target because of their payola problems. Hot 97's Program Director and Music Director would only hook up those they know and those who would pay them off. Now we have both Hot 97 and Power 105.1 who are in CONTROL and they are both doing the same things. Good for them both!! I hope to see them both crash!! To prove that the FCC isn't doing it's job.

But then again, they'd need dedicated enforcement agents for each borough....to go around and shut these folks down... especially since they;d just reappear.
 
I really hate the 87.9 pirate especially because it's overmodulated and next to my favorite station. I hope it gets shut down first.
When this thread was made in 2005, those pirates had been for years then, so that proves that the FCC doesn't care.
 
91.9 has been on the air for many, many years, and has always had a killer signal (aided by the fact that 91.9 is pretty much completely empty anywhere in NYC). I can't tell if it's one station though or several that "share" the frequency, since I've heard everything from hip-hop to dance music to country music to reggae.

theres two on 95.9 and 94.3 in Passaic,NJ (Spanish)
99.9 is in EaST Orange,NJ (the guy gives out his phone number and its his house)
He also uses 104.7 sometimes ,way back when he was on 90.5.
Theres a religious Jewish station on 91.9 in Passaic.
I noticed a good one up there by Montclair State University with English format.
And a handful on in Paterson,NJ 91.9 ,94.3 (Spanish)
Is it any wonder why they dont drive around "the Hoods" thats where they reside.
