Pittsburgh's Music will not be the same?

Well, being the person was nice enough to tell me, I certainly am not going to release his name. Lets just say his word is gospel and can be taken to the bank on any bets, so yes, he is pretty far up the ladder. Definitely no April Fool joke or lie.

P.S. So K-RockFan, how is it to work for Carol Logan at Rocky? ;) I got out before Forever ever came about. Heard lots of consolidation coming to Forever stations in St.College, Altoona, AND Johnstown markets, Hot92 and Hot100 so far were combined. Maybe Rocky 99 and Rocky 104.9 are the next up?

Reposted from pbrtv.com webpage,

More FM talk coming - (1/12) - In what is probably the worst-kept secret in Pittsburgh radio, it's more and more apparent that WRKZ-FM (93.7) is going to wind up with some share of news-talk content next year. In a longer story about local radio's battle to compete with web and satellite content, CBS Radio's Keith Clark says the company "has made a real commitment to developing spoken-word formats" and that the revamped 'RKZ will be "a complement" to KDKA (1020), not a competitor. CBS will be trying to take some audience away from Clear Channel's FM NewsTalk WPGB-FM (104.7), which is now tied for sixth place among overall listeners 12-plus. Scott Paulsen is expected to show up on 93.7 in April, and John McIntire is in negotiations with CBS as well. McIntire says on his blog that talks are going "swimmingly." "The new talk FM in the 'Burgh is going to rock," he says. "And I'll be rockin' on it." (Post-Gazette)

Man that sucks?

I don't work their i just listen. Why say that they are a good company.

You know Rocky99 has better music mix with currents mixed in unlike DVE. Whats the point having currents and 90s music on DVE huh if their main focus is classic rock?

Talk sucks 1047 will come out on top.

If talk sucks, how will 104.7 come out on top? ???

And I hate to break it to you, but 90's music IS "classic rock" now. They've been calling 80's stuff like Journey "classic rock" since the early 90s.

HMMM let me think cause it's been on for what how many years? If i had my choice i would pick 1047 why hmmmm cause i can't get it in and it's better Kdka is ok.
90's music is not classic rock it's Hard rock? Who has been calling 80's classic rock?

937k-talk will suck [EDIT] Change into a rocky type station and the ratings would go through the roof. Or make 929 lite rock into a rocky99 type station? IT can be called ROCKY929 Pittsburgh's Rock Station. IT WOULD BE MY VERSION OF 1025WDVE!
