Good observation. Active Rock (New Rock) is on a downslide. Not to say that its on its way out but the active rock rock format has seen better days . We can wait for Metallica & Ozzy to come around once again save the active rock format

...There are some decent new bands out there..a few that come to mind are Audioslave Queens Of The Stone Age,Foos,..really dont have the patience for Linkin Park,Tantric.NonPoint,Slipknot,S.O.D etc . No mass appeal Nothing personal ..just aint my taste ...maybe thats why active rock is losing some ground ...some bands are just not that great . Its unbelievable how some can actually land a record deal
