Actually, I'm not really into Cox...
...I hear they're not the most exciting radio group to work for.
Brian, you are so far out of touch with the realities of radio in the year 2006 that it's laughable. Do you realize that the current owners have generally leveraged the stations they own to the max, and that those stations HAVE to make MONEY in order to pay off the money borrowed for the station purchase as well as operating expenses?
> In the normal world there is no such thing as put up until a
> couple years of books have passed
A COUPLE of YEARS? I what alternate universe? In the real world, the PD and/or GM in Syracuse who hired an unproven talent for morning drive would find themselves jobless when corporate got wind of it.
> Im not taunting myself as the greatest...
I am. I'm taunting you as the greatest. Really.
> If i were on "the Dog" per say in the morning. I
> know it would beat Gomez and Dave with a bullet.
You know so, huh? Based on what empirical evidence? Show us a shred of evidence that you have the chops to deliver a morning show in market #77. C'mon, B.O., give us a taste. Just 60 seconds of your brilliance to blow us away with your immense creativity and talent. A minute of your time won't reveal enough of your "sekrit" plan that these other hacks can steal your schtick. Heck, they couldn't execute it anyway, right? EVERYBODY here wants a taste. You've got websites. Give us a sample. I'm not even asking for you to demonstrate the consistancy needed for the 300 day per year grind that is morning radio. I'm asking for a minute of your time.
> I wont leave my current job for radio but would like some boat
> cash. After the numbers come in? Thats when you nay-sayers will
> really have to take a back seat.
So, you're looking for a freakin' HOBBY? A guy with no demonstrable track record wants to do morning drive in market #77 on a station that's leveraged to the hilt AS A HOBBY. BTW, he won't be available for production, remotes, and other personal appearances because he'll be WORKING HIS OTHER JOB. Seriously, would YOU hire YOU?
> There are plenty of people that know of my ups and downs in
> the radio business, its been 10 years
Apparently there are still enough people in the radio business who remember you after 10 years, which is why you remain unemployed.
> i have my own kids now which forces me to be way more responsible.
These "radio guys" have their own kids too, which forces them to be way more responsible. BTW, does Social Services know you have kids? I only pray that their mother has custody.
> Cox, you have sooo many reasons to blow me off
Soooo many...
> But how about a good, real reason. Was it something i said,
> or did when i was employed around here?
I don't remember you when you were employed around Syracuse. That's how much of an impression you've left with "radio" people, let alone "real" people.
> Im not giving you my demo here and my phone number is on my postings.
This ain't a 1-on-1, B.O. I'm not personally interested in you or your career. I do find your rantings so preposterous that they make me laugh out loud. Really. LOL. And I want others to share in the hilarity. That's the kind of guy I am - a sharing kind of guy who wants to put a smile on EVERYONE'S face. Oh, BTW, that ain't a sexual reference, so don't bother with the adolescent response.
