Possible KYW 1060 news?

I really am wondering since they are displaying the KYW sign with the CBS eye. That is the TV side. Unless they will now have CBS news at the TOH.

The CBS-3 news is changing back to KYW News just like WBZ in Boston. CBS-4 went away and became WBZ News.

or somehow CBS got another FM in Philly and is simulcasting KYW-AM on FM.

or KYW and WPHT are swapping frequencies.

I would be shocked if WOGL goes away for KYW on the FM dial. My gut tells me that they are changing the broadcast schedule, to be more like WCBS IMO and get more news in and get segments aired on time. All of the posters should keep their eyes open to any possible news that might break about this between now and tomorrow and post them here.

They wont flip WOGL Julius its doing well in the PPM ratings
CBS would be committing suicide if they flip WOGL. I hope that KYW will change the broadcast schedule to include CBS THO, special reports and updates from cBS and ABC, because they need to. the station format in its current forum has been sounding stale to me for a while .

The tweet is worded a little differently from the Facebook post. The Facebook post says "Can you guess what it is?" The tweet says, "Can you guess what it is from this photo?"

So, it's a sign, in storage somewhere, showing the CBS Eye in front of the KYW call letters.

My guess: CBS news at the top and bottom of the hour (the one-minute casts at :31). It would explain the weekend debut. Time for the kinks to be worked out before morning drive Monday. KYW has debuted other changes over the weekend, such as refreshed jingles, before running them on the weekdays.

Will this mean Traffic and weather together on the 8s like WCBS-AM? They'd have to move it off the 2s because the first natural break in the CBS top of the hour news is at :03. Sports could stay at :15 and :45, business could stay at :25 and :55.

Wonder if the Osgood File and other CBS features might be added at :40 after.

Does everyone agree with me that KYW 1060 needs a makeover with its current news format? Also will kyw, keep ABC news radio?

Is that even considered enough for a big announcement?

Could be that KYW radio is going to air on one of the sub-carrier CBS television stations. This would be a good idea as the number of cable/satellite customers continues to plummet in the Delaware Valley. Because these non-subscribers are unable to bring in CCN, FOX news, and MSNBC, it would give the general public a 24/7 television news station.

WJZ was never CBS (or ABC) 13 nor ever used the network logo. Just as WBAL was never NBC (or CBS) 11. WMAR has been ABC2 the last few years but was never NBC 2, and WBFF is Fox 45 (and Crabtown's new home of J! and Wheel). The last 3 named stations use their networks' logos.
