Possible new station coming

So they replaced an aging Spanish language format with an aging English language format?

Makes sense.

It does. That "aging English language format" works in SA.
Proof- KONO 101.1, 99.5 KISS, 106.7 The Eagle and 102.7 Jack FM are in the Top 10.

And yet Houston remains saturated with you know what.

No, we don't know what. Rhythmic? Hip hop? AC? Country old and new? Sports?

I’m hearing a very low station in the back ground of 96.1. I hear Pastor Guevara preaching with music in the background. But in spots I hear ballenato music with an accordion playing as well.

Vallenato music is quite popular in parts of NE Mexico, with Monterrey having an all-vallenato station. Are you saying this is unusual?

No, I’m saying the 3rd signal is unusual, I was on 45 by Crosstimbers and passed by Fulton and drove past Irvington and was hearing a 3rd station on 961. I hear La Nueva 96.1, Rice University on 96.1 and also this 3rd station.

Why is that? Does Monterrey have a large migrant community of Colombians or is it just a style of music that spread and took a small foothold in that area?
