Apparently KSEN was on with DX test the night before (11/7), but all I could hear was WHBY. No sign of them.
Last night (11/7) they were easily heard thanks to the Morse Code and test tones cutting through WHBY and WIMA.
Montana number 3 heard on the AM band.
KSEN had a major technical problem Friday night. We found out Saturday afternoon that in the process of the automated day to night pattern switch, the array got all hosed up, stuck somewhere unknown in the middle running gosh only knows what pattern and that also caused power to drop.. 280 watts forward and 190 watts reflected. Thats why only Bruce in Seattle and Bjarne Melde in Norway heard it on Friday night!!
Hmm. Does that mean that the test actually saved them from having a problem during regular hours?
We ought to suggest to stations that a test can be used to test all kinds of not usually checked things all at one time while giving a chance to DXers to log them!
Maybe get a testimonial from engineers who tested for NRC / IRCA that the test was a good way to check everything out all at once.

Golden West Broadcasting’s corporate engineer Luverne Siemens confirms my reception of CFYM 1210. He checked the local locally at the station since there’s a gap in the online recently played log.

Today I heard a Cuban station that has not been common in the Chicago area. Actually I heard them for the first time. Radio Artemisa, La Salud, Cuba on 770 kHz several mentions of Radio Artemisa at 8:45 pm CST.
