Post your latest DX

Finally some Es noted in Chicago today:

88.3 KIEE - St. Martinsville, LA - 10:39 CDT
89.5 KITA - Iola, LA - 10:41 CDT
96.9 KXBJ - El Campo, TX - 10:48 CDT

All gone by 10:55 CDT.

Was on the Petersburg, Michigan Global Tuners receiver (SE Michigan) - heard KONO 101.1 and KCYY 100.3 San Antonio, KVMK 100.9 Wheelock TX, and KLBJ 93.7 Austin. Also several Spanish stations, probably some from Mexico, others from TX.

And again June continues to be bad lol. There has not been a good June opening here.

Last night Again, 88.3 KCVP, Pierre, SD. 3rd time this year.

Also had country on 95.3. Couldn't confirm but likely KLXS given there was nothing else on the band really and there isn't many stations in Pierre, SD.

Also had some fadeups on 92.9 with Don Henley - The Boys Of Summer and 90.5 with classical couldn't ID those and into HD sidebands here degrading signal. A few possibilities in MT or WY.

92.9 could be KLFM, KPAW, or KEZQ. KLFM and KPAW I've logged before.

KEZQ 92.9 has no webstream, no website, I have no idea if they are satellite or local. Wonder if Boiseengineer or someone else out that way can confirm. They have a huge signal, they get into Yellowstone NP and rimshot Idaho Falls, Dillon MT too.

Last night I had a small E-skip opening to KS and OK, MUF only 93.9, but 4 new logs!
6/22/24
6:39PM - 93.9 KZRD Dodge City, KS; RDS 'La Mexicana.' Relog, 100KW at 1192 miles.
6:43PM - 89.7 KJTH Ponca City, OK; the Weekend 22 Countdown, RDS PI '29B9' matching WTFDA database. NEW #860, 100KW at 1367 miles. Previously logged in Ellensburg on 5/17/2020.
6:45PM - 88.7 KJHI Haviland, KS; with KJIL references. New to air. NEW #861, 2.5KW at 1258 miles. New overall
6:47PM - 88.7 KLVV Ponca City, OK; mixed with KJHI, worship music and ID 'The House of Praise.' NEW #862, 11.5KW at 1381 miles. New overall
6:58PM - 88.3 KYFW Wichita, KS; with promo to write to BBN for prayer, Charlotte NC address. NEW #863, 17KW at 1334 miles. Heard in Ellensburg in 2021.
There were a few UNIDs, including a 92.7 with Tom Kent's The Ultimate Party show, which was likely KWME KS. But no ID on that one. It was a weak opening, but I'll take the new stations.

Take what you can get this year :) I still haven't reached 100 MHz so far this season. Last time was in January.

Hopefully the terrain is ok when you move to ID. Seems like you'll have a quiet FM band there.

Boiseengineer says the Boise FMs do OK in Cascade, so I'm just hoping the HD hash is knocked down and the translators are very weak. Boise has a ton of AM revitalization translators (KIDO, KGEM, etc. all on translators). Also LPFMs. But I'm 60 miles north of the city.
McCall locals are on 88.3, 89.1, 89.9, 90.7, 91.7, 92.7 (translator), 94.5 (translator), 95.5, 98.3, 99.1 (translator), 99.9 (translator), and 100.9 (translator).

Got a bunch of new AM stations last night trying out my Sangean HDR-14 for the first time at night:
KBGG 1700 from Des Moines, IA
KIND 1010 from Independence, KS (only 32 watts nights!)
KWKH 1130 from Shreveport, LA (even though it's 50kW I hadn't received it before)
Either KRMS Osage Beach, MO or KSAL Salina, KS (I'm guessing it was Salina since they're higher powered)

Where are you located?

While I was on my day out today by the Walmart on Auburn Blvd in Citrus Heights, CA around 4:30pm

Someones transmitter is on 92.7 playing Crap Rap, Np ID, Just Music..Don't like it, So just turned it off

I got my first Canadian e-skip in Clifton, NJ on Wednesday afternoon. It is 90.5 CBQQ-FM Fort Frances, ON, an affiliate of CBC Radio One. The transmitter is about 1,095 miles (1,763 km) away from me.

Where did you buy the radio? I've looked online and there are so many similar models I have no idea which to buy.

Thanks for posting the vid clip. Cool to see E-skip in action. Never experienced FM E-skip in real life. So it's great to see a clip of another DX'er actually receiving it. And Fort Frances to NJ -- that's a good stretch of mileage.

Big FM ES opening out west. At 99 logs so with more likely to come from digging in I/Q files when i have the time.

Went to nearly top of band.

Best log out of this may be 97.7 KPOW 1558 Miles.
