Hopefully you get some stuff this year soon.Congrats. The opening stopped just a few hundred miles N/NE of me.
It's extremely difficult to predict Sporadic-E. It will often show up on lower bands before it reaches into the FM band and higher.Sorry for the newb questions...but what is an Es opening, and how does one know when and where they are?
Why not just use standard MP3 for these clips?? WMA is OLD & OUTDATEDAudio from the January 22, 2024 massive winter e-skip opening has finally been posted. I am such a procrastinator. The FM band had Es up to 108 MHz, mostly SD/NE with some KS, ND, CO included.

It may be, but it's still reasonably well supported (especially on PCs) so there's no technical reason not to use it if one chooses. Why not just use standard MP3 for these clips?? WMA is OLD & OUTDATED
Hmm, I see your point.Thing is EVEN MICROSOFT no longer supports it (They stopped doing that when they stopped developing Windows Media Player) even though Media Player Classic (Kinda sorta) supports it
Plus there are FAR more editors that support MP3 than WMA anyway

Oops, Don't know why I put ReddingEureka.
I hear that up here
I like KEJB. It's no secret I like oldies, so it's a treat when this comes in.Been messing with my Tecsun PL-310ET on AM in Vallejo

Lately local 1420 KRIZ has been off the air, so it's been a combination of Walla Walla's News-talk KUJ and Centralia WA's oldies / classic hits KITI.
One is maybe 70-80 miles south of me (I'm near Seattle), the other one maybe 250+ miles to the east.
