Here's another one.. "The Voice Of The Catholics" 1390 KLOC Turlock, CA from Jan 19th

Got a nice clear loud ID at 1 min 10 seconds into the recording:

A few more maybe to come as I clear a backlog of audio.

Radio Enciclopedia is back, I'm pretty sure. Orchestral music with announcements in Spa, nish.
Yep, apparently so. I'm on the road this weekend, 1/27. and last night in my hotel room (Effingham, Illinois) I heard it with a solid signal and minimal fading. Relaxing elevator music with a female announcer. "Music to fall asleep by", Which is exactly what I did!

Last night I was in a different location than usual, far enough away from most locals that the amount of bleed was minimal, so I decided to rake a look at the band to see what was going on.

Tuning to 1060 yielded a mashup of several stations, rather than KTCT slop, so that opens up the possibility of logging something interesting with a good antenna.

I only had a minute, sonI couldn't do much else, but one thing that was nice was that there wasn't a ton of EMI.

I'll hopefully be getting to this new location full time in a few months, so it'll be fun to give it a try. The AM band is so crowded in the SFBA that DXing is much more challenging, and mostly impossible at my specific location due to wideband noise that blocks all but the strongest signals.

I guess I didn't know it was missing?

You know you're a radio nerd to the umpteenth degree when you recognize the melody in the jingle bed music.. its the KOA/WMAL jingle package.

This is what 25 megawatts ERP of Shortwave pow-pow-power sounds like pointed right at me from 5100 miles away on 7465khz and it contains a "Direct From Washington, VOA" jingle.

Actually, I think I've far exceeded radio nerdism levels and i'm at the radiosexual level!

Radio Reloj, Cuba on 950khz made it 4300 miles away to alaska on January 7th at 811pm.

All you can really make out form Cuba is the time pips that are obvious in the first part of my recording, there may be some blips of spanish music later but I can't be sure.

The english talk is a mix of KJR Seattle and KCAP Helena, MT
