Post your latest DX

I was very busy yesterday, but on my way home from work, I had 104.1 KRBE flash in HD only 10 miles from 104.1 WVGR! To make it even more remarkable, WVGR is a grandfathered Class B at 96,000 watts! Also on my way home, I had three different paths going at the same time (mostly to south/east TX, but also had a couple in far eastern NC and 94.3/95.1 Colorado Springs CO).

Definitely the best opening in the Midwest since last July 4th - during that opening, I was at my parents' house for the weekend and there were less than five stations that did not get taken out by E-skip (mostly LA/MS/AL/AR/TN)

DXMaps FM DX tab is a great place...also the Rabbitears FM DX logger here

Note that only the paths in straight black are the latest ones. So if the autologgers are grabbing tons of black paths that are 1000+ miles or so, go take a look at your local FM band.

Keep in mind SOME of those new logs are actually meteor scatter. N5OAO in New Mexico has an excellent set-up and constantly gets meteor scatter. Several logs all in a row would probably equal e-skip, not one lowly logging.

I'm a little late to post this, but, on Wednesday (6/10), I caught some North Texas FMs here in Charlotte, NC!

88.5 KEOM Mesquite, TX - between about 12:45PM and 1:00 PM (EDT), heard "Honky Cat" by Elton John, a promo mentioning 1984 and the KEOM calls, "Our House" by Madness, a PSA about cancer, KEOM's top of hour ID, and the beginning of "Escapade" by Janet Jackson. Reception was mostly listenable on the drive back to work from my house, but was fighting it out with nearby WFDD Winston-Salem, NC.

89.5 KVNE Tyler, TX - caught this one by accident while trying to tune in my Part 15 station. Heard the announcer mention the callsign. Was getting some interference from at least a couple of other stations.

94.5 KZMJ Gainesville,TX - At about 1:00 PM EDT, caught the end of a commercial, the top of hour ID, and the beginning of "Humpty Dance" by Digital Underground.

I wanted to do a more thorough scan of the band, but my lunch hour was over and I had to go back to work.
