And Entercom is going to come up with what to replace it? I read a lot of speculation about format changes and I see that most of it originates with people who don't like a particular format and are experiencing wishful thinking that it would go away. I doubt KDFC's classical format is going away anytime soon.

http://www.arbitron.com/portable_people_meters/ppm_sf.htm
which seems to indicate that they are active for 24 months unless someone doesn't comply with the rules or decides not to participate. They also apparently have 2146 active daily participants in San Francisco and 866 in San Jose. So that would be a lot of people to swap out every month. But my experience is that people don't change their radio listening habits much. So a person who listens to KYLD in July will probably listen to KYLD in August, right? It seems like this survey system is more dependent on luck-of-the-draw than a monthly random sampling.

Having said that, therefore I will never mention a Q-102 on this or any other board again. How's that for being "NUTS" about it!
