Let's start with the wild speculation and accusation since the KIRO thing is the most interesting thing to happen in Seattle since...well, a long time!
Here we go;
Once KIRO is on 97.3, KTTH will be heard on 97.3 HD (soon) and they'll probably do special Mariners programming on the other HD too.
KOMO will fall because of KIRO's new FM presence with young listeners. OR they could move to KPLZ? Maybe merge KOMO and KVI programming into a new FM version to keep up? And sell KOMO and KVI to the scrap dealer since "there's copper in them transmitter thingies"!
Someone else will soon start up a news or talk on FM soon in the area to maybe to move off AM or compete with KIRO, whatever.
Another FM in the area will also change formats as a result of oldies leaving the FM and my guess is; the multi formatted wonder at 96.5 (31 formats and call letters since 1960 and counting or something like that). After all KBSG was above KJAQ when they exited the scene.
Hint: even KZOK is hotter than KBSG and they be oldies too, matey!
Warm will do even hotter AC since that has REALLY worked well for them in the last 2 years (ha ha hee hee).
Fisher will sell off radio and get out while the boat is still above water (unlike the name they don't do well under water)
And let's see, someone will create a station so compelling that it will make you talk about what you heard the next day instead of something like "they were off the air yesterday at 2am, duuuuuuuuuude!"
