doesnt mean they were bad either, it aint the music i hate on 102.9, its THEM

The truth comes out...

Really, would it make that much of a difference if they rebranded 102.9 as your beloved "Hawk"?

in some ways, yes, and some ways...no...and no offense to the DJ's at 102.9, i respect them, but i hate GM, and u all know why i do, i just enjoy everything from nassau, weather its one of The Hawk's, or Frank, and occasionally PST, (without the rap crap). let me ask you a serious question... Have You Ever Lost YOUR Favorite Station Before?

Many times.
Even more times, I've lost my favorite personality on my favorite radio station.

For radio geeks, if you haven't lost your favorite station, you haven't lived.
For those in the biz, if you haven't lost your job, you haven't lived.
Think of it as like losing your virginity.

Get satellite radio and get exactly what you want.
All music radio formats (except those targeting down-market listeners) will be gone from FM in five years any way.

fred, I dissagree about the loss of all music formats on FM. In fact, I predict a (how do you spell rennassaince) of larger libraries and personality hosted programming. We're miles apart on that, but that's ok.

But, please explain what a "down-market" listener is.

Renaissance. (As noted in another post, Firefox has a handy-dandy little spell checker built in.) And the Renaissance did not revive the ideas of classical writers. The middle ages was attached to the ideas of the past. The Renaissance over-threw them.

I hope you're right. I don't think you are. That does not appear to be the way the world is headed. The technology of AM, FM and Shortwave is obsolete. Even with HD, options are limited.

Larger libraries and personalities, ironically, are what satellite (and eventually wireless-Internet) offer now. Listeners pay the piper and, therefore, listeners call the tune.

Down-market: Lower income and education. Low socio-economic status.

the hawk was the 2nd most listened to station in Bucks County, And Trenton, so dont even go there, they had a hell of a lot more listeners than 20, and they knew how to rock!

The Hawk was #7 in Bucks County back in the spring, #4 in the Trenton market.

the only station that had more listeners than the hawk was WPST

Yes, WPST. And WDAS-FM. And 101.5.
