Like many guys here, I use Adobe Audition 2.0 (will upgrade to 3.0 soon). Soon I'll be replacing my "long-in-the-tooth" 3ghz P4HT system with something new, shiny, and multi-core.
What I'm wondering if anyone here could share their experience(s) producing with Vista. I sometimes grab snippets of audio off the web (all public domain, OF COURSE!), and am concerned about the recording restrictions (the lack of "Stereo Mix" as a recording option on most Vista systems I've tinkered with in stores. Like most "production wizards" (I suspect), I suddenly get an idea of a snippet of audio I'd like to incorporate, and go grab it. Microsoft says that things like record options are up to the sound card manufacturers, and those who write their drivers. Fair enough. If you have these options in your Vista system, what soundcard are you using?
Also, how does Adobe Audition run in Vista? Are there programs you just can't get to run correctly?
