haha, this is too funny. I'm not a Bush lover, but Fred your making an arse out of yourself.

BTW, Bush isn't a conservative. Most true conservatives aren't happy with him (not to the point they get angry when they see him on tv, like liberals). Bush is socially conservative (gays, abortion, ect), but all of that stems from a religious philosophy, not a political philosophy. So outside the social issues, and big Military, he shares very little with conservatives. Infact, his spending, and willingness to write blank checks (katrina), makes him one of the most economically liberal Presidents we've ever had.

BTW, I think it's safe to say both sides have a-hole drivers. They quite easy to point out, without using stereotypes. The liberal ones often still have the Kerry/Edwards bumper stickers, or something about the war. Conservative ones tend to have a support the troops, or a yellow ribbon.

Thank you for pointing that out. Those people with the support-the-troops bumper stickers go crazy when told that Bush (and they) are not real "conservatives." What you describe fits the definition of "neo-con."

Please read the entire thread. I posted "stereotypes" as a rejoinder to an earlier post which attempted to turn a discussion of public radio into a negative caricature of people who listen to public radio (on the assumption that public radio listeners are stereotypical liberals, which audience research shows not to be the case). What is typical of many "conservative" posters on this board is their cheap-shot insult posts interjected into any discussion about anything they don't like. I notice that when they get some of their own medicine back, they scream and claim to be treated unfairly.

Funny how what the lib claims to notice is always void of reality. People like Fred need Bush, he is the reason for all that is wrong in their lives. They will blame Bush for everything, personal responsibility is to the lib what religious tolerance is to the Taliban.

And Herb thoughtfully provides us with an example of what I mean.

Or like neo-cons need Clinton. Heck, neo-cons are still bashing FDR and he's been dead over 60 years.

How about religious tolerance to Pat Robertson, Jerry Fallwell and the religious right - or to those wonderful folks who brought you the Crusades, the Inquisition, conversion at sword-point, burning heretics at the stake, the Index of Forbidden books and the Legion of Decency, the Roman Catholic Church?

Right, Fred. And don't forget the Salem Witch Trials and putting Gallileo under house arrest for life for the "crime" of espousing heliocentrism!

Blaming someone for something that is their fault is not a problem. However man made racist hurricanes, revising history and radio controlling planes into the twin towers in exclusive only to the lib.
