Q102- EXCESSIVE Repetition?

Q102 is HORRIBLE. I haven't listened to that station in at least 5 years. Every time I flip through the channels, I can always count on 1 of 4 songs being played when I get to 102.1

Between the 160+ spins a week and their music sped-up around 841%, I listen to XM20 for CHR music in Philly.

That's funny considering the entire concept of XM 20 is to play the top 20 songs over and over again on a continuous loop.

I prefer XM 30 for CHR music. It's like "deep CHR," if that makes sense. A heavy emphasis on currents but they'll play anything that was a hit in the last 10 years. Isn't Q102-HD2 supposed to be like XM 30?

They usually land around 100-110 spins per week, but for some reason this week, their top 3 songs are up to 144-148 spins per week.

That's insane! So, they can't possibly be looking for, or getting any long-time listeners with repetition like that...? Nuts...

One night, I heard Bleeding Love twice within 40 minutes on Q102! You're guaranteed to hear the same 5 songs every hour on Q102. Isn't there a DMCA violation if it's repeating certain songs more than 3 times in 3 hours? Wired used to have 130+ power rotations, but now their highest spin count is 116. Kiss 95.7 in Connecticut has a maximum 98 spins/week of their #1 power hit. In contrast, WABB 97.5 out of Mobile, AB only spins its #1 power 81 times a week. I have noticed that CHR stations in the midwest and south sound completely different from the ones over here. The stations that speed up the music the worst are Q102 and Kiss 95.7. I'd rather have Q102 play more commercials than play the same 5 songs 160 times a week!
