I figured I could add something to the discussion. I listened to O&D when they were on the FM midday slot here in Baltimore. At least I did for a couple of months. At first I thought they were really bad, juvenile, and obnoxious with practically no talent, but I wanted to give them a fair chance. I take that back. I thought that of Chad. Oscar has no real personality to speak of other than being a nice guy. Chad's only personality is being an a--hole.
So anyway, then the show started to grow on me and I found out I was listening to all four hours. I was especially fond of their news guy Josh. But then Josh got a much better deal on a more popular show on a much bigger station, so he left. Almost immediately they were back to their same old crutches. "Please Daddy Stop" (not funny, not sexy, just pathetic) and Chad ranting about anything he thinks sounds controversial and yelling at people. From asking people if their neighbohood were a bowl of M&Ms how many brown ones would there be (not to mention countless other racist insults he stole from other comedians), to screaming at every woman that calls in and disagress with him about anything. If he thought it could shock people he would say it. It was wretchedly transparent and fall flat right quick. Oh yeah, I forgot about Chad crying about how fat he was and his drinking problem, and his girlfriend banging every black guy at her college (classy guy). I still listened a little (less than an hour a day before I had to change it) because there was really nothing else on during the day and I got crap reception in my office. After roughly a motnh or two listening like that I gave up and stopped altogether.
After meeting them a few times I found out that Oscar really is a nice guy, but that Chad is an even bigger spineless tool in real life than he portrays on the radio. There is good reason he has been fired five times in the past year, and his lack of talent is a huge portion of it (though don't ignore his personality off-air).
So there you have it. I have listened to many hours of their show, and yes, it sucks. The only time they were any good was when they had Josh with them. Weak is a very adept (And generous) description of their abilities.
Luckily I have a great office with huge windows now and satellite radio so I never have to listen to swill like them again.
