question about radio contest / prize

Screw their form. Send a letter protesting their license renewal. And put on the envelope in red letters, "PROTEST OF LICENSE RENEWAL

You kind of need to learn how to listen for contest fraud too, so that you can explain it to the FCC.

Forget the FCC, get a rabid lawyer on a short leash and sue the morons back to the stone age...which, in their case, won't be a long trip.

If you opt for the attorney be sure you have an FCC attorney. They understand the forensics of what goes down at such stations as the one you appear to be describing. Just a for instance might be all of a sudden using the term "theme weekend", when they have never used that term before (something they stole from another station while trolling the Internet maybe, even if it's across the country); looking for ways to disguise what they're up to, in other words. You don't even need to be a loyal listener, because when they are up to no good you will find that any time you have the station tuned in even for a second they are all about nonstop covering over, but they always tell on themselves while they run for cover.

Send your letter to the FCC first and protest their license renewal. Then find an attorney if you get no satisfaction. But I think you will get satisfaction if you know what you are listening for. You really need to make sure that your information is not getting used internally while they are giving away prizes to someone else.

Sounds weird, but that's the way it works.
