Question about Santa Rosa

Santa Rosa is part of the San Francisco market in Nielsen’s world. There’s no longer a Nielsen breakout for Santa Rosa.

Eastlan publishes ratings for Santa Rosa.
You can see the giveaway numbers on ****************. I’m unsure if Eastlan is even around anymore. All of the data on Radio-Online is from 2022 and earlier.

Here's the latest Eastlan survey for Santa Rosa (Persons 12+)

Are stations that do not subscribe to Eastlan still listed in their survey? I'm not familiar with how Eastlan works compared to Nielsen.

Yes, Eastlan lists all stations,... I only posted those with a 2.0 share or greater.

Some of the Eastlan markets are once a year, and a few seem to be "on demand" so they may only come out once every 12 months or even longer intervals.

Santa Rosa is listed as a monthly market.

I was curious about which market and ratings book covers KSRO and other Santa Rosa stations?

As a side note, KSRO is quite a regular up here in Alaska at night. Sometimes fairly darn well too.

It doesn't look like it's aimed particularly your way, but there aren't any nulls in your direction, either.

The fccdata.org-generated maps indicate a daytime 2 mV/m at my Oakland location but I don't think I'm actually getting that much. It's there; I can hear it; but it can be swamped by noise. Of course, I suspect the station couldn't care less about anything south of Marin County.

I dug up some of my better recordings of my reception of KSRO:

OK on Santa Rosa ratings, regarding KSRO, they had a decent signal on the Pacific Ocean at night when my wife & I were on a cruise to the South Pacific back in 2014. Many nights they were very loud with little fading.
They also had a decent signal in Fremont,CA area, just north of San Jose in East Bay, where we lived in SF Area. KSRO during the day & at night came in, in Fremont. We lived not far from SF Bay so I am sure that helped their groundwave in the Fremont area.
Was about 70 air miles between Santa Rosa & Fremont with a good amount of that over saltwater for their signal.

At one point in ancient times KSRO 1350 tried to be all things to all people (in the Sonoma County area), News/Talk/Variety mornings, MOR throughout the day and Classical music in the evenings.

Actually, KRCG-FM. Those who know me personally will understand why I did a double-take when I first saw that was the case. But I don't want to go off-topic lest the guillotine fall on what's been a pretty good thread.

Also - KVON seems to have fixed their undermodulation problem - I can get a readable signal from it here in Oakland now. KZNB is now off the air, as has been mentioned in another thread. And I've never received KRRS, not surprising since there's a sharp null in my direction.

I've been getting fringe reception of KDFC 89.9 (KOSC) for years. However, the last few days have been nil. Is anyone else receiving it?

I picked it up yesterday in Pleasant Hill, but it's essentially a fringe signal there as well.
