Question about signing on a CCM station

Re: Vision/Direction and Audience Targets

Wow! To call PRAISE and WORSHIP (of the Living God) "crap"...

I'm speechless.

Really.

Wow! <

There is an e-mail based Forum of professional Christian broadcasters that is also used by a significant number of Record Company Reps. It would be a very valuable resource for you.

It's a group much like this, but it comes directly to your inbox. :)

Its not me saying it. Its the kids. I'm just repeating what they think of it.
Worship to what makes you closer to God. And don't presume to tell the kids they have to share your musical taste.

Well, I was quite startled by that description and the crassness of it.

What if they say that about Church, itself? What if they start using foul expletives? They need discipline, and should have been corrected, not repeated.

What if they started using racial epithets about a certain ethnic style of worship? Again, they should be corrected, not repeated.

Just my $0.02

Do we need to get the George Beverly Shea albums out?<P ID="signature">______________

No, why?

I never cared for his "sound". It's like "falsetto bass" or something... I just never cared for it, and still don't. <:p

Re: Vision/Direction and Audience Targets

You really need a heart change don't you.
Way FM does play P&W by the way as do most CHR stations, I have a CHR format myself- P&W has updated itself, but I mentioned the change of P&W before - it's not your P&W of 6 years ago.
You have a dim view of A/C stations and P&W. I don't know many that play Sandi Patty (possibly for classic shows) and your mention of no one knowing who Amy Grant is - a little offbase since Amy Grant is on TV now - I think most people know her.
You must listen to some bad CCM stations.

I think he does. It's becomimg apparent that there's a hefty amount of PRIDE and BIGOTRY issuing forth.

> You have a dim view of A/C stations and P&W. I don't know

Yes, he does. We have a back-and-forth going in another thread. It seems to be coming across that his way is THE God-ordained RIGHT way, and anything else is "pollution" and "crap" and it's going to drive kids straight to Hell on a rocket sled.

> You must listen to some bad CCM stations.

I think he just THINKS they are "bad" because they aren't doing what *he* thinks they should be doing. <:(

SRN's "Today's Christian Music" is a pretty good sounding CCM Mix.
