Years, ago, around 1986, I watched Dick Bartley do his show in New York, when he was with RKO Radio.
I knew the engineer of the show and went up to see it. I thought I would be bored to tears I had been in the business so long...Dick's enthusiasm was infectious, I completely enjoyed myself!
I also understood when Dick sent me, a total stranger, down to Colony Records on broadway to pick up a song he didn't have. He had to have it for his artist spotlight, and I completley understood his attitude, and was happy to go.
I never hear anything on KBSG that is compelling, interesting, or infectious in any way. It is just another "in the box" clone POS.
I don't think anyone there has a clue how to do exciting radio, what it means to love what you're doing and get off on it, and how to execute it. It is what it is:
Dull, corporate, boring, stagnated, overly-researched, micromanaged, blah, crap.
