Just two years ago State College had 3 current-based rock FM stations. Now there's one: WQWK. They should be partying hardy--if there's anyone there left to party. As the only rocker left in a major college town (no disrespect to The Bus, but their target is old guys) Quick/Forever has opportunity staring 'em in the face: a wide-open field. No competition. What do you think they'll do with the opportunity? Joe 105.9? Rimshot signals need to be unique to attract listeners. Playing the same tunes Froggy is playing ain't unique. Weirdest thing was bailing 10 weeks into the Spring book--the one that will probably show Buzz with great numbers in the rock demo. Would have given them a real story on the street. What's the story now? "Cheaper than Froggy"? One thing is for sure. They'll do better in Philipsburg.
