I wouldn’t have expected WOGL to go wall to wall Beach Boys. But one song an hour or even a 60 second tribute with snippets from different Beach Boys songs would have been nice.
The station stopped playing that music about 20 years ago. 60s pop music appeals to the 70+ demo. That's not where WOGL is.
As we've said in other threads, WOGL has a major demo problem right now. The audience is way too old. Playing 60 year old songs wouldn't help.
There are lots of other stations in Philadelphia that played that music. No reason to play it on WOGL.
