Baltimore might be the only market where Radio One does well in. They aren't doing to well in philadelphia and atlanta. They were wise to sell WPHI

WHUR has been outrating WMMJ more recently

Another thing I noticed is that WUSL and WDAS do well in the Allentown area
I’m assuming cumulus gets most of the billing in the Allentown to market
Hey, take a look at how they do in ratings and revenue in Houston.
Big issue is that there is too much musical overlap with several other stations doing similar things with much better signals. Thus all the speculation on the Houston board about a format flip or sale.
Then again they had format exclusivity when the station was all news, and that wasn't much better.
As our friend David Eduardo has pointed out, all news tends to do badly in sunbelt markets, with the exception of KNX, which is a legacy station.
KROI's best overall numbers were with the "Praise" format from 2006-11, but apparently the audience was too old and thus not advertiser friendly.
