I've been reading info on this site for a long time and have enjoyed learning from all of you. I'm host of a new show called 'Radio Xavier Live' that airs Sunday mornnings on KSKY 660 7-9 a.m. It's a Catholic radio show that airs with the blessing of the bishops of both Dallas and Ft. Worth. I'm interested in hearing if any of ya'll have heard the show or have heard any feedback on it. I'd open to any constructive criticism.
Often on this site, ya'll discuss new formats and ideas for stations that are reported to be soon changing their formats. I've never read anyone suggest Catholic radio. The Catholic population in this area is growing rapidly, both Hispanic and English-speaking. I know we already have about a dozen Christian Protestant stations, but I'm just curious about your thoughts on the viability of a Catholic station in this market. Nationwide, Catholic stations are popping up everywhere. Ten years ago there were about five and now there are over 100 nationwide. The big cities have been slower to get them but some do have them, like Chicago and Houston. Thanks.
