Randy And Spiff to replace Neil Boortz Mornings on WSB-AM 750???

I have heard through a fesources that WSB-AM 750 is mulling around the idea of replacing Neil Boortz in the Mornings with Randy and Spiff doing a talk show. Many feel that Boortz has turned into a cranky, grumpy old man on his show and the viewers are getting tired of his same old tricks to get the listeners mad on the air. I hear they are trying to decide what to do with Boortz??? No decions have been made, but it is hot talk right now at WSB. Fire him, or move him to another time slot. Anyone else have any info. on this??? Thanks!
 
First of all, GreatTimesandSomething, what are fesources, anyway? And since boortz is something like the eighth highest ranked talker in the nation, WSB isn't going to replace him for someone like Randy and Spiff. WGST tried it and in my opinion, it failed. If WSB would change its schedule at all, I suggest putting a live, local, hour-long news, weather, traffic program. Possibly backing up Erick Erickson by one hour. Plus, maybe you could switch their crappy CNN News affiliation and affiliate with abc, like other Cox stations.

Amanda Moyer, Jon Lewis, Marcy Williams, and I believe Lisa Campbell are also CNN anchors. (Pete Combs is with CBS.) Doubtful they would switch affiliations.
 
I also heard that Cox has hired ATL radio veteran Tammy Lloyd to make over AM 750 and NOW 95.5 FM NewsTalk WSB to be more appealing to women. Planet-something-or-another, they are calling it.

Merlin is having great success in NYC and Chicago (with out the planet radio slogan). If Merlin had a catchy slogan (like the Planet radio) they would be number 1.
 
I have come out of self-imposed exile and my deathbed to comment on this. Good Times and Great Oldies or should we now call you great Jobs and Good Scoops, thanks for leaking this info. I started thinking I was crazy when I first heard these rumblings 2Owens ago. This is the best info you have provided since yoo correctly called the Beatles reunion at the True Oldies concert at the GA Dome a few years ago.

To the doubters, do you all have short memories? R & S knocked it out of the park with their morning talk show on WGST. Cox has had their eye on them ever since.
 
Today from 3-5 they are airing some lady during Mark Arium's time slot,I haven't heard him since UGA's football season started,I like to hear the fast food review,or did Michelle Obama stop that?

I can tell you that the few sources (assuming that's what you meant here) should be disregarded in the extreme. Randy & Spiff as the Boortz replacement is laughable. Not because they're not good guys, or that they're not talented--but there's NO WAY that will happen. And, if you're relying on these "sources" for any other scoops...well...I'd stop.

Methinks your "sources" are inside your head, and you're trying to create a stir.

Anyhow, Boortz, when he goes, will be replaced by Ed Schultz. Or maybe, Belinda, with all 4 1/2 hours filled with commercials for products she endorses; products that wanted Neal but he didn't want to bother doing the endorsements so Belinda got the money. "Haaahh, ahm Belinda"....

Or maybe all news. Think, maybe?

Then again, maybe Steve Perry, ex-lead singer from Journey. He's a heavy smoker, so he's got a gravelly speaking voice, and if Eddie Money works out....Steve Smith knows many old rockers who are wasting their time playing golf, sitting around, collecting royalty checks, but who are bored and looking for work. Who knows?

Once upon a time, Corporate Fatcat Cox Communications had a pretty good thing going in Atlanta with WFOX - especially in the mornings. So, being the corporate fatcats they were, decided to make it "better".

Amanda was let go from CNNRadio last year and was picked up full time by Cox (same with Chris Chandler, btw). Jon & Marcy freelance(d?) at CNNRadio but were never full-timers.
 
After the Boortz rant this morning on abortion and Christian Zealots, who knows! Maybe the "church" is out to replace him with a new priest.

I'm a liberal Libertarian and while I don't agree with everything Boortz says, that man has my vote! He ain't going no where folks. Very faithful and unusual following considering his conservative ideas yet liberal social views.
 
His little rant about his I Pad not letting him delete MLK Day was a bit much. I wonder if he would have have made that comment if Royal was here? Of course after a break he tried to "cover" when he tried to delete Christmas on his I Pad. The show needs a "normal" point of view that was provided by Royal Marshall.

They recently dumped the third ranked talker in the nation (Savage) why not drop the 8th ranked ?

"They" Cox originate his show. Financially speaking, Cox has "skin" in this game.
