Taylor, reports a rate increase is on the way for Sirius/XM sometime in March; XM will start charging $2.99 for the broadband version and will be no longer included at the $12.95 rate. Taylor forgot to mention that the justification for the last rate increase was to combine the services; prior to that there was a separate charge for the online version.
The question should be: How many promises made to the FCC can Mel break before they get involved?
1. We were promised a $6.95 rate for those of us who only wanted a few channels.
2. Radios that would be able to receive both services were already headed to market (useless now!)
3. No rate increases
4. Sirius/XM would be operated separately
If Dish Network could add a few of the talk channels, Sirius/XM would be useless.
