Ratings 101.1 WJRR

honestly.. LEx and TER is the reason why they lost me as a morning listener..Luckily iv been picking up 98 rock in my car for the last few weeks....

Thanks to those of you that agree with me about JRR. With Real Radio 104.1 continuing to trend down from where they once were and the potential short term spike WJRR is seeing, aside from Rumba and a resurgence of XL, the Clear Channel group is in trouble... (Has anyone even bothered to notice the WMGF numbers? They're ruining Magic 107.7 by piping in John Tesh 10 hours a day.)

As far as Cox and WHTQ goes, I've said it before and I'll say it again... the station sounds tired and has so for years, but now they've got a tremendous opportunity to step up and be a killer rock station. Why they're not taking a cue from what's happening over on the coast I don't know. Cox rockers 102.5 The Bone, 97X, and older demo skewing 107.3 The Eagle are crushing (all be it 1 book) Clear Channel's 98Rock in Tampa Bay. Trust me when I say this... with careful and well programmed rock on 96.5 and 98.9 combined with the area's #1 country station K-92 and #1 talk station 580 WDBO, Cox will own the 25-54 male demo.

PS... Look for 103.1 WLOQ to pass Magic 107 in the coming books due to a Deliah/Tesh overload. You heard it here FIRST.

Sorry guys, I know from a very reliable source....

what does "any time soon" mean? all the buzz is January '09 Bubba hits other markets...would January '09 be "any time soon"?

Lite Rock err Less Rock in Melbourne stuck in YAWN Tesh Delilah mode as well..........they shud just go dead air with all that......I click them off after Mike & Mindy and only click them back when Eric Young hits at 3... then off at 7 when the drone starts over............ they will continue to fade away.... as A-1-A AND even HKR continue to eat their lunch.

Hey Vadar, are you really the legendary SLATZ!!!!!!!!

Cool....

I used to listen to you all the time in the mid-80's on DIZ......

I like how you do Sunday afternoons on JRR, however, I find it strange how there is no mention of you on their website......

My final comment on Bubba.....I am very sure that he is not coming to WHTQ.....however, if he does come in January, then I guess that my very reliable source is wrong......

I am going to go drink a Bud now.....

I think things are going to get vary interesting.
so, how about more music from hard on saturday night in normal jrr programing? it this was the case, jrr would be number one for me. i love hard on saturday night. anyway, sunny is really not doing all that bad for it's self. you give sunny a few months when the next book comes and you'll see a pretty high ratting. as for those hacks at 95.3 wh not flip it back to party? that was a great format. hell now i just listen to prk. hahahaha they know what radio is. it's great ot hear college radio. we need more college radio and pirates!!! show these people how real radio is. magic will vt and john tesh and delila all day. 102 jamz in actually not bad. xl never been much of a fan...

Everyone who loves the Hard On Saturday night show and wants 'JRR to play more '80s metal, you get your wish this weekend. It's going to be another Hard On Weekend.

I need to go find my acid wash jeans...

This weekend should be what ALL rock stations play... a good mix of everything..all styles of Rock!! Get all rock listeners onboard!! New music 1st and more 80s metal mixed in... we tired of hearing the same bands from the 90s over and over again.. once in awhile is ok! but we want more Metal!!

I'd have to agree with "scottsvb5"... the music this weekend is great. My wife made the same comment, it's a great cross section of rock. Would love to hear this format through the week. Certainly better than hearing Staind and Nickelback twice an hour with the obligatory Nirvana, STP, Alice In Chains songs twice an hour as well.
