Ratings Challenged Rocker Flips?

Hey Actually! You might want to give a bit more info like call letters, frequency, COL. This is the second post on this board that has people wondering where/what you're talking about. NNE is a big area.

So...they replaced timeless rock songs that everybody likes with headbanging tracks that only the PD and her friends care about while handing the classic rock franchise back to the Wizard...and they're going to replace that with a format that already exists on two other stations in the market?

At least they have a Fox Sports affiliation, the Patriots, Lake Monsters and UVM contracts in that cluster unlike the other two stations, who have no pro or college teams. This actually isn't a bad idea. That's the one company in town that actually could and should do sports talk on FM.

The PD and her friends? Nope, only the PD and her consultant liked what they were doing. So narrow minded, but then that's been the problem with radio since the mid 90's. Thankfully there are a few stations that buck the trend out there. Happy Holidays!

The WCAX-TV article claimed nobody was being laid off; some would work at the station in new roles while others would go to other spots in the cluster.

And as I said in the other thread WCAT 1390 was already ESPN (same ownership? think so; I thought their studios were or are at Champlain Mill in Winooski) and I didn't know if they'd
keep it on 1390 too. --UPDATE--it was said 1390 would be running Fox Sports

So now WEAV will have to run something else on the weekends.....

Bet Corm is doing backwards handflips......he'll probably claim that the station died without him.

Actually, it seems the station died in part because of him. When Vox bought it back they didn't exactly take over a powerhouse station in Champ.

Two weeks into new stuff on WEAV already.

Just curious, as a general observation, but does ANYONE here, actually LISTEN to the radio? Got one guy talking about the 2 spot blocks an hour on 96.7, which isn't the case, and now someone wondering 2 weeks in, what EAV is going to do on weekends?

Everyone should take 5 minutes a day and flip around the dial before posting.

Some of the folks replying here no longer live in this market, so flipping around the dial is likely to yield Boston, or Portland ME or some other locale.

You really think I'm a moron, huh? I know what I heard! I have a clock on my computer! It's possible that I'm wrong, but I'm quite certain I heard two stopsets within the span of that one hour I was listening.

As for things that "aren't the case," you "being a lurker who chimed in" and an "out of work jock" (as you posted previously) aren't the case either. Glass houses...

I'm not going to out you, but anybody with a layman's knowledge of Facebook, a knowledge of who works for those stations, and the ability to cross-reference that information with your post history can surmise who you are.

Merry Christmas!

Clearly someone who works or has worked for Vox in recent times; How are ya doing, Nolan?

I am getting comfused very easily... You are not talking about WIER at all 102.3?
I think they should try to syndicate Tom-O and MR. Mike from TOS... TOS used to come in Burlington area in parts I hear before cool 105 signed on just because it was such a dead frequency.
I get WIER here and there over kiss 102 Lyndon it seems which is awesome! too bad Kiss eats away at the signal about 100%
