haha thanks! I am too busy preparing for my active rock/Hair and classic metal radio show on fridays 3-6 wxci.org or skiing lol
in this case it was skiing today just got my R-I newsletter e-mail from this morning.
I could never get 101.3 the champ in the NEK because of that country station from wells river VT. I am glad that 102.3 will live on for now...
I am listening online.... Godsmack! White Zombie to Drowing Pool Damn!. I wish I knew about this rock station sooner but, I thought the champ was an elevator type rock station Elton John etc ... whoops! I was even in Burlington for a week in July thinking all I had was 99.9 the Buzz and WGIR 102.3 to listen to for rock and listened to them religiously.
why was there no advertising/imaging-banners anywhere around burlington for this station when I was there in July?
HINT! HINT! a die hard rocker not even knowing there is a rock station is pretty sad.
I suppose this is going to make 102.3 WGIR stale with less competition but I am glad that 99.9 WBTZ the buss is still here.

They previously played a diverse variety of music that was considered at the time to be "rock." That includes songs with pianos and saxophones and melodies in addition to active tracks.

TV is cost prohibitive and and billboards do not exist in Vermont.

What's funny is that those two stations should have never had anything in common with Champ in the first place. Let's remember the good musically diverse Champ that played rock songs that we'll never get tired of instead of the Champ that played screaming niche music that will be forgotten in 10 years.
