Re: Renda Ratings
Unfortunately, diary keepers and Arbitron placement will decide Jacksonville’s collective country futures. Renda and Clear Channel folks, buckle-up for safety it’s going to be a bumpy ride to the very end.
I agree Rooster is taking on water, but when I compare Rooster to Gator they both sound similar & music intensive and I’m the typical person allowing 5 to 30 minutes of listening time. I know the jocks and playlist are different, but both stations sound like they’re beating the same drum and that’s not good. Sure Gator is playing less commercials now, but that won’t last long with their predicted ratings spike and victory over Rooster or WQIK.
We know one country station will be forced to flip and that’s not half either, because it leaves a whole wide open and an opportunity for a new format like jack or even talk Fm.
The blood bath has started and Renda is doing that. I know
