Strong February trend for KIRO, KISW and KCMS in prime demo. Ron and Don and BJ Shea did very well. Sandusky got mixed results. The KRWM Dec/Jan Christmas buble burst and in February they were half of their number in December. The Christmas audience appears to have gone to KMPS, which had their best month in a long time and KPLZ which bounced back from two terrible months. KMPS and KPLZ mornings really jumped far ahead of KRWM. KWJZ slipped overall, however over the last four or five trends KQMV has settled into a solid third or fourth place position 18-34 soundly ahead of KBKS, but still well behind KUBE, KISW and KMPS. Your big winners in the prime demo for the month of Feb were KISW, KMPS, KCMS and KJR-FM. Continued tough books for KBKS, KBSG and KNDD. Adam Corolla has literally tripled the numbers of any of the music day parts in Jan and Feb.
The one good thing about owning multiple stations is everyone can be happy about something each month. Sandusky cant be pleased with KRWM's drop last trend, but KQMV is looking better. Bonneville can't be happy with KBSG or KTTH, but KIRO looks great. Infinity can't be pleased with KBKS, but KMPS looks strong. Entercom may not like what is going on at KNDD, but KISW is huge. Fisher can't be thrilled with KVI, but KPLZ had a nice month. Clear Channel's KUBE had an off month, but KJR-FM had an abnormally high month. It all averages out month to month, which is why good media buyers look at a four-book. (You knew I had to say it) Still interesting to see what goes on each month and what broadcasters think on these and other boards.
Morning winners overall for Feb in no particular order: KISW, KMPS, KJR-FM, KZOK, KPLZ, KIRO, KCMS All above a four share in prime demo for Feb.
