RE Maltshop Memories

If you want maltshop memories, then play the music of the era..... All OF IT....

I agree completely with sbe1. Top 40 used to include many types of music, and that's what made it great. There was something for everyone. That's also why it was not boring like most of today's programming, where you keep hearing the same type of music over and over.

I though I was the only one who appreciated music like this...when I worked WDAE...we played em...called it MOR...had great personalities....free flow radio...no written liner notes...no pd breathing down your neck...

WDAE 1250 in its music days was a great station. Great music and personalities. It would be wonderful to have something like that back again.

Glad to see all the postings about "oldies" radio. I well remember the music of WDAE since I programmed the music. BTW...Miss as in I miss music on am...not the female title as some have probably thought. And the thought of maltshop memories may be closer than some think...stay tuned for more!!!

Just be kind of careful about what you call it or how you call it. Haven't seen much in the way of actual "malt shop" memories, except for strictly the music of the era. Maybe you needed to be there after school, at the soda fountain, ordering your chocolate soda, dropping a dime in the jukebox at the counter. Or the lady behind the counter who drank Coca Cola and was always happy.

Yeah, everybody has a stinkin' cruise thing going on. If it isn't Cunard Lines count me out.
