...or Spanish Comedy. SNAP! I just invented a new format
I would really like to know why CC thinks this will work. The only things I can see are signal and being able to bundle it with Patron in the sales department
Then again, CC stepped in it royally when they rolled out Viva, which didn't appeal to the predominantly Mexican Latino population in ATL.
trusty said:CC could put anything on GST. All they have to do is market it as “Topless Radio”. It would be strong with men 18-49. (I know my PPM would get some attention.)
(Wait… what did I say?)

I think CC knows full well that it's not going to work on its own. But, as you say, what little audience it gets could be added to El Patron's numbers, or spots on 640 could be given as bonus to El Patron advertisers. I believe CC's main objective with WGST is running it as inexpensively as possible.

That's true, but when Viva was the market's only Hispanic station, its ratings were way above any ratings that El Patron has ever gotten.

What makes it different? I don't know much about the nuances of the Spanish speaking populations nor the different music formats, and have always wondered. I understand that Mexican isn't Cuban isn't Puerto Rican etc., but not what the formatic differences are. 'splain?

jabba17 said:The only way this makes sense is the sales weasels being to make Patron buys a package deal. You could put ESPN Deportes on a full class C FM and it won't draw more than a half point share in this market at this time.

I have always believed that part of El Patron's problem is signal. It is on the wrong side of town from the main hispanic population.
