If I recall correctly, "Breakfast Time" aired on FX from 1994 - 1996, it ran 3 hours each morning and in reruns on weekends, it was shot in a Manhattan apartment building and was fun and a bit zany and a departure from any other morning program at the time. They had lots of cool stories and offbeat features and I remember watching it most every morning due to my work schedule at the time.Fox News or Fox affiliates airing Breakfast Time from FX? I never knew Fox actually aired a morning show or was this in areas where the Fox affiliate didn't establish a local news staff yet?
I always thought Breakfast Time on FX ended as soon as Fox and Friends started on Fox News Channel.
They then moved that show to the Fox network in 1996, called it "Fox After Breakfast", shortened the length to only 1 hour airing from 9-10 a.m. but also took away many of the things that made it really good viewing from what I recall. It lasted less than a year before they started retooling and ultimately it got the axe. I once heard it opined that Fox executives saw that it was successful on FX and so they decided to move it over to the Fox stations, but they never fully understood the show or what made it a success on FX, they didn't really know what to do with it once they got it, and as a result it died a relatively quick death.
