red adds new music

No Red is Sig and Vydra from KKND over in New Orleans.... (the actual Red voice is Sig right now)

Probably due more to them than Bender who is a pretty much recent hire (or actually a rehire since if I remember, he left the former incarnation of the station Real Rock 93.7)

One of the major problems, and one of the reasons for low ratings is surprise surprise a crappy signal
Got to remember, cheap radios suffer in trying to pick up the station in East part of EBR parish, as well as Livingston and Ascension due to where the tower is... and usually that's what most people have at work as it's always been a station trying to bridge between BR and Lafayette IMO

The station seems to be at it's level in the ratings right now..wow fluctuating .3 of a point that isn't a downturn IMO

And StevenNOLA, I don't expect real rock bad without some house cleaning but I think personally you will hear some of the sappier stuff get gettisoned (as it needs to go from a "variety hits" to a "classic hits" type station IMO)

I'm not exactly sure what is Red's target demo but I'm 29, white male, college grad, and red's music is pretty much up my alley. When I'm at work or at home on the weekends, I'm usually listening to Red or Sirius. For what it's worth, I'm more of a "rock 937" listener but this one suits me better than x1049 does (although x1049 isn't really too bad either).

I would have say less Cyndi lauper and more middle road rock.... Like styx with Matchbox 20 with say Stone sour's new song.

Talk on the board got me to resample it again, and it's gotten better.. more classic hits than a Jack IMO

But yeah more rock 93.7, 103.7 the fox (WUSW Hattiesburg,Ms) type of stations

So that explains the barely 1.0 share at KKND and Red. Any truth to the rumor that we will be hearing former Real Rock 93.7 staffers (not Bender) on a radio station in Baton Rouge? Inside sources say it's happening more sooner than later.

You are correct, buddahfett. It's really hard for me to listen to Sig's voice for more than a few seconds, he sort of has a gay "lilt" in his sound, not that I hate gay people. I never liked them on 106.7; lame morning show, bad programming, very weak.
