Regular Guys Sound Great

Congrats to the Regular Guys coming back and for the first time in a long time I laughed half my way to work. Larry promises to not tick Eric off this time. 3.0 is far better than 2.0 with Steve being a regular contributor. They sound very smooth for not working together in 15 months.

Already had one reference to the world's largest woman, Stu Klitenic.

The Dickey Bros. just kicked Rodney Ho out of the studio. They didn't want him talking to them just yet and Eric went off on the "Control Freak Brothers."

Who is this new bold Eric?

A Ben the Bunnyman appearance.

A looser show due to less restrictions than 2.0. They even Call the F-U line just that.

They really do sound great! No kind of first day awkwardness, they sound very comfortable.
It was a hoot listening to them build up the Ho interview, WTH?

No surprise they sound great, they are great.

The "Control Freak Brothers" need to step back for once and let pros be pros.

Finally, morning radio has returned to Atlanta. I’m sure O&A will miss me, but TRGs are back so XM is out. It’s time to put the antenna back on the car!

Yes---I got booted. Eric was steamed! But John Dickey promised I can talk to Larry & Eric next week once they're "settled in." Though as you have noted, they sound like they've never left so what's the big deal? I did spoke to Gary for about 30 minutes, then he escorted me out of the Q100/Rock 100.5 offices. I didn't even get a chance to say hey to the Bert show in the new studios. But such is life under the Dickey regime!

They were probably just teasing Stu Klitenick--he's a seller there at Cumulus.

Yep! A friend of mine saw him there the other day. He thought Klitenick might be working the 99X.com/Rock 100.5 side of things. So perhaps TRG were having some fun pulling his chain.

Why the lies? Why the big secret? I would have done something crazy like promote the return of TRG to Atlanta, but what do I know, I’m just a listener ...

Welcome back Regular Guys!

Honestly, if THIS is what you folks have been missing & clammoring for, then Atlanta radio is really in bad shape!

TRG sounds no more entertaining than a low budget Lex & Terry, IMO.

A nationally syndicated male-oriented morning show, mr. 24 posts. Google it.

And whats a Lex n Terry?

One of the few things I've ever heard on the radio that actually makes TRG sound downright appealing. Has to be the worst steaming pile of dogcrap ever broadcast, even people in the proverbial trailer park think it's trashy.

Yeah, TRG are so amazingly original too. How could one compare Lex & Terry to them? ???

Scuse me before I yack on my keyboard over the overwhelming Regular Guys Fanboy porn

Amen brother! Finally, someone gets it, thank you for your post! Sorry but I lost a few brain cells for the few minutes I tuned in to check out the new format! That will be the last time.

"Original"?? This is criticism is debatable on it's face, but who really gives a sh*t anyway? At the end of the day there's one question: are the people on the mic intelligent and witty? The answer with TRG is clearly yes. If you can't see this I'd hate to go through the rest of life being you.

First of all, I am sure that several people on this site are going to disagree with me but:
These two are on the same page as me. It is amazing to me that Atlanta has been craving such a senseless morning show... The subject of this forum is a joke - the way the regular guys sounded was the furthest thing from great this morning. It was a trainwreck.

Well I missed the show today, but welcome back RG! Too bad Eric couldn't hold out and not have to work with Larry again, but here's to hoping that RG v3.0 blows the socks off ATL radio as the RG v1.0 did.

Looking forward to the ride in w/ the RG in the ATL!

DOWN WITH CLEAR CHANNEL! FU CLEAR CHANNEL! FU 99X!

You would think with 18 months off, TGR could have come up with ONE new bit. It's the first day and they sound like they're mailing it in.

There ain't going to be a TRG 4.0, they might want to put forth a little effort.
