This is where it gets confusing. The original KOY 5~Fifty site near Southern & 36th Sts is the home of KFYI. KOY 12~Thirty is located at the Crackhouse on Buckeye, just west of I-17. (For those fully aged out of any marketable demo, that was once the home of KRIZ) As far as KNUV 11~Ninety...they're still waiting for approval to diplex with KXEG 12~Eighty.
All I'm waiting for is a supersized mug of hot buttered rum....just go easy on the butter, please.

Has anyone ever approached Mother Hubbard about piggy backing at sports parking lot~620, Is mom just not willing to share, or not technically feasible? If I was a homeless AM radio station, that tall KOY tower sure looks like a good place to call home, and centrally located for valley wide coverage.

Yes, indeedy! The annual Gremlin drop from the APS power pole behind the Buckeye Media Hut is on schedule. The Old Gringo will be dressed up as Father Time, while baby 2026 honors go to a javelina Nurse Jeff found in our Tuff Shed. It'll be a Rockin' New Year for the Middle Eastern Men of the Media. And who knows? Maybe we'll be high bidders on the KFNN/KQFN auction. Anyone would definitely have to be high to bid on those two.

K257CD was able to rebroadcast KAJM when they had a signal that was further northeast of Phoenix (Payson/Strawberry). I guess what goes around comes around. After KSTM dropped its AAA format in the late 1980s, the 99.3 translator began carrying the oldies programming on KRIM-FM (which was then at 102.9 if memory serves) and which later moved to 104.3 and still later became KAJM-FM.
Back then, they were able to simulcast the primary station, even outside of that station's 60 dBu contour (which was the case for KSTM/KVVA-FM, KRIM/KBZG/KAJM, and even KNRJ). I'm still waiting for an answer on why they couldn't just simulcast KAJM directly instead of leasing the HD subchannel of KMLE (unless the FM translator rebroadcast rules were tightened since 2012).
Back then 99.3 was not under common ownership with KAJM. A commercial translator cannot extend the contours of a commonly owned signal. Back then they were not under common ownership, now they are both owned by Ken Brentlinger.
