When the Quiet Storm was on 7 til 12 they would play it. All the songs you mention are in the computer just not in rotation as of now. Not sure why they are so picky with their music I guess they only play R&B songs that latinos actually know. Their playlist is very tight

Remember My Love is the SHHH! by Somethin' For The People from 1997. I had a great deal of airplay on 92.3 The Beat in 1997-1998. Hot 92.3 should play that song instead Sheila E.SMH

If you look at all the CC stations in Cali that have reformed to rythnmic oldies or ac KHHT Los Angeles KSIQ San Franscio KHYL Sacramento and KOCN Salinas they all have the same playlist. No neo soul or mainstream R&B. Their playist is very tight and half of them are running that sorry ass premuinm choice programing. So that song wont be on the playlist. It was a good song.

The Music that Hot 92.3 plays sounds horrible. The only time I listen was when they first launched as Hot 92.3 with the Urban format until the 70's came to play SMH. They should play more 90's to 2002 Rhythmic Hits instead of 70's & 80's.

They were heavily focused on 90's and 2000 currents around 2002-2003. Some woman by the name Michelle was the PD at the time. Ratings were low during that time. Mike Marino was hired as PD around 2004 and was also PD of KYSR during its final years as Modern AC. When Mike took over all the neo soul and mostly 90's were cut. The 70's and 80's Mega Old School were brought back at the time when the station started to focus on latino women. Basically the 90's and 2000's currents didnt work with ratings and CCLA management. Same thing with Movin they dropped all the 90's and 2000's and foucsed on 70's and 80's New Wave music before its demise. If you think about it there are no true Urban AC stations in the westcoast or western states Pheniox Tuscan, Bakersfield Las Vegas or any city in california. Well there is KBLX in San Fransico. All the others are Rhythnmic AC or Oldies. The mainstream R&B and neo soul wont get any airplay. I think John Ivy who overseas KIIS is now the PD of KHHT since RDub was let go. That might be another reason why its playlist is now dull than ever.

I hate the fact that I don't hear any neo soul on Hot 92.3. It's frustrating SMH. Back in 2001 when Hot 92.3 first signed on it's was a direct competitor to KKBT. I sounded just like KKBT music wise. At that time KKBT was still Hip Hop & R&B. I miss those days so bad. They should've left The Beat on 92.3 then we wouldn't have terrible Hot 92.3.

That was when Rhythnmic Oldies stations were flipping to Urban AC around that time. I do agree The Beat should have been left on 92.3 but when CC swiped freqs. and the formats CC decided to keep KCMG format instead. Not to mention KCMG and KHHT have never had a sucessful morning show. I think George Lopez was the most sucessful until he got his sitcom on ABC back in 2001. Sinbad never worked, Mario Lopez didnt work, The jamz session with Diana Steele and Michelle Visage didnt work either.

I like that song by Jon B. I Do(Whatcha Say Boo) from 1998. Beautiful song. It sounds like a song that mexicans would listen to. Hot 92.3 should play that instead of Sheila E, Marvin Gaye all these other 70's artist.

He's very blessed to be on the air at his age.
The music you hear on his show is exactly the same music youll hear in KOKO FM in Fresno. The show is made to appeal to hispanics which is why its on the air. The show started out on KGGI on sunday nights and then it expanded. Normally I dont listen to the show but if its cheap for cheap channel to air their happy vs. paying another jock or some other VTO jock

Yes he does. You can actually request a song on his show and hell try to play it. Most of the stuff youll hear appeals to hispanics on his show. Top 40, R&B, Hip Hop, Adult Contempary hits. Good luck its syndicated so alot of request come in. As for Power playing that record not sure I moved to Kansas City during that time I was like 12 or 13 that year.

I do remember hearing Lost In Love on a Latin Hip Hop show on Power 106 called Poco Pero Loco. I miss that show so bad. They should at least play a blend of the old and the new hip hop.

It still on the air just in other markets. You can listen online on the website. The only affliate I can think of is KVSP Power 103.5 in Oklahoma City sunday afternoons. They do a few classics just depends what time of day but for now it's mostly current. Power has to compete with KIIS KXOL and KAMP for the younger demo in this town

Compared to how they sounded in the fall of 2009-Summer 2010, they don't sounded like KIIS-FM nor AMP radio anymore. They're playing more Hip Hop & R&B. No sense in sounding like KIIS.

KIIS has toned down on hip hop its more mainstream with pop acts still rythnmic but no rock as much. KPWR main focus is on KAMP. Their more rythnmic than KIIS is now and alot of people are switching over to KAMP. I guess those dumb switch parties work.

I find it irritating that they're still saying things like "make the switch" or "thanks for making the switch", as if they're still new. They're almost 2 years old!
