Long Hard Road
Fall to Fall, Gator is up from 19th to 15th; QIK has slipped from 2nd to 4th. The share-and-a-half (12+) lost by QIK sure looks like the share-and-a-half gained by Gator. That's the easy part: WQIK's P-3's. The next share-and-a-half (the P-2's) is gonna be tougher; it might take 2 years... and would bring Gator within 2 shares. Those last couple of shares--trying to cut into QIK's P-1's--could take another couple of years. (Remember, we're talking about knocking off a station with a 30-year head start). So we might be looking at 2009 or 2010 before crowning Gator the Country Champ. Assuming CC doesn't get pissed off and defend themselves... or (more likely) crack out the checkbook and buy Gator--or Renda, for that matter. Just saying that as admirable as Renda's efforts may be, it's a long, hard road they've put themselves on. And this ain't the old days when it was programmer-vs-programmer.
